About Abdul
Abdul started GPADLAB after watching a string of his own DualSense and Elite controllers fail the same way — drift, then triggers, then connection issues — within a year of buying them. He set out to build the diagnostic tools he wished had existed at the time, and ended up designing the Controller Health Score that now powers every test on this site.
He writes about hardware, repair economics, and competitive gear from a player's perspective — no PR talking points, no manufacturer relationships influencing reviews.
Areas of focus
- Controller hardware (Hall effect, TMR, potentiometer wear)
- Esports and FGC gear standards
- Right-to-repair and secondhand market dynamics
- Browser-based testing methodology
