GameSir Nova 2 Lite Controller Test

The GameSir Nova 2 Lite controller test runs a full diagnostic on this budget Hall-effect controller in your browser — verifying the anti-drift Hall sticks, Hall-effect triggers with trigger stops, mechanical D-pad, back buttons, and 1000Hz polling. Connect over the 2.4G dongle, Bluetooth, or USB-C, press any button, and get a Controller Health Score graded S through F.

Full Nova 2 Lite diagnostic

The Controller Benchmark runs every relevant subsystem on your Nova 2 Lite — Hall sticks, deadzone, button response, mechanical D-pad, Hall trigger range, back buttons, rumble, latency, and connection stability — then produces a composite Controller Health Score. The Hall sticks should test very clean for drift at this price; if they don't, recalibrate via the GameSir Connect app.

How to pair the GameSir Nova 2 Lite

Get your controller connected before running diagnostics — wired or wireless, mobile or desktop.

  1. 2.4G dongle for lowest latency

Plug the included 2.4G dongle into a USB port; the Nova 2 Lite connects automatically at 1000Hz. This is the recommended mode for PC gaming.

  2. Bluetooth for mobile and Switch

Hold the pairing combo until the indicator flashes, then select GameSir Nova 2 Lite in your device's Bluetooth menu. Bluetooth is convenient for phones, tablets, and Switch.

  3. Wired USB-C

Connect a USB-C cable for a wired 1000Hz connection and simultaneous charging. Note GameSir doesn't always include a data cable in the box — use any USB-C data cable.

  4. Press any button to confirm in the browser

Browsers gate gamepad access behind a user gesture. Press any button on the Nova 2 Lite to expose it to the Gamepad API, then run the benchmark or any individual test.

Frequently Asked

GameSir Nova 2 Lite questions

Yes. The Nova 2 Lite uses GameSir's Hall-effect sensing sticks, which read position via magnetic field rather than carbon contact, so they resist the drift that wears out potentiometer sticks. The triggers are also Hall-effect with adjustable trigger stops.

The Nova 2 Lite is the upgraded model: it adds Hall-effect triggers with trigger stops (the original uses analog triggers), a mechanical circular D-pad, two back buttons, and 1000Hz polling. Both have Hall sticks; neither has a gyro.

No. The Nova 2 Lite works on PC, Switch, Android, and iOS, but it is not licensed for Xbox or PlayStation consoles. GameSir's G7 line is the Xbox-licensed option.

No. Neither the Nova Lite nor the Nova 2 Lite includes a 6-axis motion sensor. For gyro aiming, look at GameSir's higher-tier Super Nova or another gyro-equipped controller.

Trigger stops are switches that shorten how far each trigger travels before it registers, letting you fire faster in shooters. The Nova 2 Lite pairs them with Hall-effect triggers for drift-free analog input when stops are off.

Three: a 2.4G wireless dongle (lowest latency, 1000Hz), Bluetooth (best for mobile and Switch), and wired USB-C. You can switch between them to move across devices easily.

The Nova 2 Lite supports a smart auto start-stop charging station that's sold separately and shared with the Super Nova. Place the controller on it to charge and pick it up to resume play automatically.
